In Albania, there are four seaports that operate for the transport of goods which are the Port of Durrës, Vlora, Shëngjin and the port of Limjon (Saranda). The Port of Durrës is the main port in the country from which, during the first quarter of 2026, was transported 95.2 % of the volumes of freights transported by sea or 2,172 thousand tons. The total volume of freights transported from the port of Durrës increased by 39.8 % compared to the same period of the previous year.
