Business Registers

Business register serves for statistical purposes and clearly have to identify units in order to: Permit the collection of information about them via administrative sources; Provide a sampling base for surveys, coordination of surveys and for grossing up surveys results; Permit demographic analysis of the population of enterprises and their associated units. Business Registers are a base for the compilation of the statistics needed to provide indicators of both short term and structural economic developments.

Tourism covers several activities including tourist services, bars and restaurants, retails trade units, cultural centers, etc. The purpose of the arrivals and departures data for Albanian and foreign citizens, by the means of transport (sea, air, land and border points), is the measurement of some statistical indicators related to tourism.

INSTAT publishes the monthly data on Tourism Survey "Accommodation establishments". The survey is conducted to hotels and similar establishments and aims to measure the performance of statistical variables about Albanian tourism supply, which are important for drafting policies on capacity development of the tourism sector.
