Business register at the end of 2017 counted 162,452 active enterprises, marking an increase with 1.1 % by the end of 2016. Moreover 36,520 are farmers registered to tax offices with Identification Number to Persons of Taxation (NIPT).

Albanian economy is focused mainly in trade activity as well as for new registrations. Enterprises registered during 2017 in trade activity are 25.0 % out of 21.0% during 2016.
