On August 2018 the value of exports was 20 billion lekë, increasing by 10.4 % compared with the same period of previous year and decreasing by 23.9 % compared with July 2018. The value of imports was 48 billion lekë, decreasing by 2.6 % compared with the same period of previous year  and by 17.3 % compared with July 2018. This month the trade deficit is 28 billion lekë signing a decrease by 10.3 % compared with August 2017 and 11.7 % compared with July 2018
