This month the trade deficit increased by 1.8 % compared with April 2013

On April 2014 the value of exports was 23 billion lekë, increasing by 10.3 % comparing with April 2013 and 6.6% comparing with March 2014.

The main groups of goods increasing, compare with the same period of the previous year, were: "Wood manufactures and article of paper" by 46.3 %, "Chemical and plastical products" by 33.9 % and "Textile and footwear" by 41.3 %. Export of group "Construction materials and metals" decreased by 19.6 %, compare with the same period of the previous year.

On Apil 2014 the value of imports was 44 billion lekë, increasing by 6% compared with April 2013 and 3.6 % compared with March 2014. The main groups of goods increasing, compare with the same period of the previous year, were: "Construction materials and metals" by 38.3%, "Leather and leather manufacture" by 37.4% and "Textile and footwear" by 25%. Import of group: "Food, beverages, tobacco" decreased by 14.5%, compare with the same period of the previous year.
