In 2024, natural population increase was positive with + 1,208 births more 
than deaths, but decreasing compared to 2023. During 2024, were born 23,310 babies and 22,102 
deaths were recorded.
In the first quarter of 2025, births decreased by 14.1%, while deaths decreased by 5.8%, compared to 
the same quarter of 2024. The natural increase in the first quarter of 2025 was negative: - 883 people.
