Official visit of the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) delegation at the Institute of Statistics (INSTAT), Tirana, Albania during 14th - 15th of July 2021

In the framework of international cooperation, the Institute of Statistics of Albania (INSTAT) hosted a two-day study visit of representatives of the Hellenic Statistical Authority of Greece (ELSTAT).

The purpose of this study visit was to strengthen the cooperation between the two counterpart institutions of the two countries in the area of statistics.

This study visit took place also in the context of the preparatory work for the upcoming Population and Housing Census, 2022. Professional experiences, best practices regarding the Census legislation, methodology, IT infrastructure, communication campaign and other organizational issues were exchanged for the successful realization of this major project. In addition, common challenges that official statistics have in terms of modernization and increased demands for high quality of statistical.

The delegation of ELSTAT was represented by Mr. Athanasios C. Thanopoulos - President of the Hellenic Statistical Authority and his team.

The INSTAT delegation was represented by the Director General of the Institute of Statistics, Ms.Elsa Dhuli and her team.
