On September 18, 2025, the Republic of North Macedonia hosted the conference “Improving the Quality and Coverage of Environmental and Health Statistics”, an event dedicated to strengthening institutional capacities and advancing statistical development.

In the opening session, participants highlighted the crucial role of health and environmental statistics in shaping sustainable policies and advancing alignment with standards of EU member states.

Discussions focused on the importance of data harmonization and enhancing capacities for data collection, analysis, and dissemination, in order to ensure statistics are comparable at both regional and European levels.
INSTAT was represented at the conference by Mr. Klajd Shuka, Director of the Directorate for Coordination, Projects and Communication.
