Business Register is a base for the compilation of the statistics needed to provide indicators of both shortterm and structural economic developments. Business Register is based on: administrative sources provided by General Directory of Taxation (GDT) and by National Registration Centre (NRC) and surveys conducted by INSTAT and other statistical agencies. Statistical Business register serves for statistical purposes and have to identify units clearly in order to: Permit the collection of information about them via administrative sources; Provide a sampling base for surveys, coordination of surveys, and for grossing up survey results; Permit demographic analysis of the population of enterprises and theirs associated units
