Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) with the support of the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women in Albania (UN Women Albania) organize the "Regional Conference on Gender Statistics in Albania". The purpose of the conference is to bring into focus the gender equality by providing a clear view of the current situation in Albania, through statistical data provided by INSTAT. The conference will be opened by the Director General of INSTAT Mr. Gjergji Filipi and it will be addressed by highly representatives; as Minister of Social Welfare and Youth, Mr. Erion Veliaj, Representative of the UN Women Albania, Mr. David Saunders, representative from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, etc. In this conference will be present also experts from all the South Eastern Europe. The conference is organized in the framework of activities of the South-Eastern Europe Cooperation Process (SEECP), being Albania its Chairmanship-in-Office for the period 2014 - 2015 June.
