The Institute of Statistics of Albania (INSTAT) plans to conduct the next Census of Population and Housing in 2020. The Census of Population and Housing 2020 will follow the method of direct universal counting based on field operations with the compilation of questionnaires by respondents, using new methods for data collection.

The Census of Population and Housing will take into account most of the essential questions, taking into account the requests of local users, the latest international recommendations, in particular the recommendations and standards addressed in European countries by the United Nations and the Statistical Office. of the European Union (Eurostat) as well as including those related to data quality and personal data protection.
