As part of the improvement of the legal basis on Census, on 28 September - 01 October 2020, the mission of ISCED Ian White was held in order to support INSTAT, to review the current draft law on Census of Population and Housing, providing optimal conditions for a effective and successful Census.
On November 26, 2020, was approved by the Albanian Parliament, Law no. 140/2020 on the Census of Population and Housing. This law is improved after consultations in parliamentary committees, as follows:
• Committee on Economy and Finance;
• Commission for European Integration;
• Committee on Legal Affairs, Public Administration and Human Rights;
• Commission for Production Activity, Trade and Environment;
• Committee on Labor, Social Affairs and Health.
• Commission for Education and Media

Law no. 140/2020 on the Census of Population and Housing will be made available and accessible to all on the official website of INSTAT, immediately after publication in the official bulletin.
