INSTAT publishes the time series of data on the gross domestic product (GDP) for the whole period 1996-2008 according to the new methodology of national accounts 2010 ESA. Albania as a candidate country started the implementation of ESA 2010 during 2014, year on which revisions of GDP were performed for series 2008-2012 and were published on 31 may 2014. As it was already announced, INSTAT contnued work for the revision of previous series, starting from year 1996, in accordance with revision policies of national accounts. The revisions of GDP due to the incorporation of new data sources, ESA 2010 methodological changes and NACE rev.2 classification are considered as major revisions.
